How come the pros all have such clean and bright toys?  A lot of them don't want to share with you their secret - but here it is.

PROMOTIONAL AND I.D. MODEL

Topping desk top display model.  MINUTEMAN MISSILE USAF.  base reads "Minuteman.  Hardened and Dispersed.  Boeing".  1:40 scale.  issued late 1950's to early 1960's.  The base represents the underground silo with the cover opened. The missile is silver with a white nose.    the overall height on the stand is 14.75”.  the base is approx. 10" by 6".  the U.S. AIR FORCE decal on one side has been applied right on top of the "rib" and it has chipping to the left side.  overall in near mint plus condition.   scarce!  295.00

desk top promotional model.  NASA ROCKET.  do not know what kind of missile it is - maybe a Jupiter?  no markings but quality piece possibly by Topping.  clear shaped Plexiglas base has the NASA logo.  the rocket is cradled quite nicely in the display stand.  overall it is 23.25" tall.  the single exhaust rocket is molded in white with 3 booster rockets.  has the UNITED STATES decals on side and sports the blue and  red triangular logo on all sides.  very minimal nicking and wear to the rocket decals.  no cracks.  no breaks.  overall in near mint condition.  scarce!  295.00

DOUGLAS DC-8 SUPER 61 desktop promotional model.  Wing number CF-SSA.  someone has added AIR CANADA labels on each side (which can be removed if you were so inclined).  has logo and name imprinted onto the black circular base.  resin cast one piece jet.  approx. 14" long with a 10.75" wingspan.  there is chipping to the decals.  still looks okay.   85.00

AMERICA WEST Boeing 737 desktop promotional model by Pacmin.  1:100 scale.  13" long by 11" wingspan.  resin cast with magnificent finish.  includes display stand.  mint condition.  145.00

McDONNELL PHANTOM II.  Manufacturer's promotional desktop display model.   clear Lucite base with name and logo imprinted in red and black.  airplane mounts to base thru it's rear exhausts.  6.25" wingspan.  USAF camouflage colors.  Tail #37692.  overall length is 10".  stands 6.25" tall. MISSING the canopy; otherwise near mint.  still displays nicely.  scarce. 99.50

Topping Models GRUMMAN HU-16 ALBATROSS.  display model.  Dark blue.  hard plastic.  had the TOPPING logo on the bottom of the wing.  early issue used by the government as an ID Recognition model.  lightly etched on top of the wing - between the engines; it reads "U.S. GOV'T PROPERTY".  the government ones did not have display stands or props.  although the brass grommet is in the fuselage and both of the propeller retaining pins are in place.  approx. 9.5" long by 12" wingspan.  the float on the right wing is NOT attached and needs to be glued in place.  it will display okay.  needs a good cleaning and polishing.  nice early piece.  79.50

WWII ID Recognition Model.  C-47 TRANSPORT.  base is marked C-47 U.S.A.  probably by Cruver.  1:72 scale I believe.  approx. 11" long with a 15.5" wingspan.  has been restored and repainted.  Has the typical hole drilled thru center so can be hung from the ceiling. it appears that the wings were cracked at the fuselage - they have been reattached and filled in.  then the plane was repainted flat black.  repair can be noted upon close inspection - still this displays very nicely.  large and scarce.  125.00

desktop promo.  PAN AM Airbus A310.  white with silver wings; blue logos.  small winglets on tips of the wings.  heavy; solid cast resin.  18.5" long with  17.5" wingspan.  the paint is superb with a small nick on the leading edge of the tail upright.  there is chip at the upper rear of the tail and the paint is flaked off.  the right side is a bit worse of a chip.   there is another small nick at the rear tip of left tail piece.  NO display stand.  actually; sounds much worse than it is.  still displays very nicely.   150.00

Topping desktop display model North American Aviation Co. F-86 SABRE.  The base is the World Globe with advertising written on the ring.  The plane is taking off and the whole thing can rock from side to side and functions both as a display piece and/or desk paperweight.  overall 6.5" long; with 4.75" wingspan.  Minor wear to decals.  the canopy appears to be one piece - and there is a stress fracture in it - not awful.   Very nice display piece in excellent condition.  149.50

Topping desktop display model REPUBLIC F-84F THUNDERSTREAK. 10.5" long with a 7.5" wingspan. Comes with removeable display stand. Blue tear drop plastic base with clear acrylic support. Brass lined holes that base latches into. Base is embossed REPUBLIC F-84F THUNDERSTREAK in white lettering. Canopy is clear and mint. Decals are all present and mint. The left tailfin has been broken off and reglued - right where it meets the tail. See the photo. There is a very faint 1" hairline.  Displays beautifully!  excellent plus.  199.50

JAA Japan Asia Airways Boeing 747-300 (LR/SUD).  1:130 scale.  Made by PEC (Long Prosper Enterprise Co. Ltd.)  Molded in plastic resin material.  Gloss finish with JAA livery.  the tail and wings are separate castings and need to be attached.  Includes display stand.  Mint in box; never displayed.  59.50

AIR CANADA Boeing 747-400.  end of an era, with the last one pulled from service October 2004.  approx. 21" long fuselage with a 19.75" wingspan.   molded hard plastic.  wings, tail and tail fin are removeable.  heavyweight, not a cheap item.  Large base is marked on the bottom PEC Long-Prosper Enterprise Co. Ltd.  Nice desk top promotional.  red lettering on white fuselage.  Dark blue tail fin.  wings are silver with winglets on ends.  No cracks, no chips, no flaws.  Mint condition.  55.00

NORTHWEST ORIENT 767 promotional desktop model. 1:100 scale. 19" long, 18.5" wingspan. The stand is removeable. The wings and fuselage are all one piece. No markings, but I believe this was made by Pacmin. High quality resin casting with superb finish. Very minor wear with no flaws outside of some tiny pin tip nicks. Near mint or nicer condition. These were promotionals from Boeing to Airline executives, travel agencies, other big wigs, etc. 225.00

CANADIAN Boeing 767-300 ER.  Circa late 1980's vintage, 1:100 scale desk top promotional model .  hollow cast resin of some type.   Tail #631. Number on fuselage is C-FCAB. Some kind of resin type material. Made in one large piece. The aluminum and wood base is removeable. Plaque on base has CANADIAN logo and reads "To a valued employee".    Measures approximately 21.5" long with a 20" wingspan.  the paint is bright and clean.  still shining.   however, there is a problem.  there are very minor chips on the base of the one engine pod where it joins the wing.  the pod has snapped off and has been reattached, but upon close inspection, you can see it.  also, on the same side of the plane, in front of the wing there is a crack on the leading edge of wing and also a stress crack on the fuselage.  The photo is enhanced a bit to highlight it the problem.   Neither problem is very visible upon display, only upon inspection.   missing the screw that holds the base to the plane (easily replaced).  Bright, clean, shining. displays very nicely.   119.50

Pacific Miniatures, PACMIN, desktop promotional model, direct from Boeing: BOEING 757-200 in AIR HOLLAND livery.   Possibly, this one was NOT made by Pacmin.  Usually the box & the stand will both say PACMIN, and in this case neither does, no is their a PACMIN sticker on the plane.  Also, the box itself is different than the PACMIN pieces.  This may have been a blank purchased by Boeing, and then custom done by the Boeing shop themselves (they often did do this).  Mint with the wood and metal display stand.  Wings are removeable, fuselage screws securely in place onto the display stand.  This is right out of the BOEING Aircraft Company's actual inventory.   MINT with the box, complete with all the foam inserts.   Very impressive.  Beautiful resin cast is almost identical to the ones by Pacmin.  The plane measures approx. 18" long.  1:100 scale. The Boeing Co. original inventory sticker is still on the box, dated 02/1999.   MINT with original carton.  295.00

Desktop promotional model of Republic of China (Taiwan - Formosa) IDF (Indigenous Defense Fighters) Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) F-CK-1A/B.  The airplane is one piece, solid metal.  Red, white and blue with #10001 on the tail (designating the first prototype model delivered).  The nose antenna is spiraled red and white.  The solid metal display stand mounts into the two exhaust ports of the jet.  The base is marked in dark blue IDF with Chinese characters below.  On the bottom of the base is a large raised manufacturer's logo of a jagged bird head with a large "J" in the center - see our close up photo.  The jet is 12.75" long to the tip of the nose antenna.  It has a wingspan just shy of 8".  Minor nicks to the paint.  This has got to be an unusual piece!  excellent.  150.00

BOEING VERTOL U.S. ARMY CHINOOK YHC-1B Helicopter 12.5" promotional model w/carry case, VERY RARE item, straight from Boeing!   650.00

One of a kind desktop Russian Jet SUKHOI Su-27 FLANKER, ©1988 by Bill Hill for an aviation magazine, missing 2 missiles - small nick in top front of left side tail fin - o/w mint   135.00

Cast metal promotional model of a STEWART & STEVENSON Airport Vehicle.  I believe this may be a power generator, or possibly an Oxygen exchanger.  Anyway, it is one of those vehicles you see hooked up to the big commercial airliners, when they are parked at the terminal.  The steering wheel and stick shift are intact.  Heavy, solid cast white metal, bronze and black finish.  The wheels are molded in place, and do not rotate.  There is a mint decal on each side.  7.5" long by 2.5" wide by 2.25" tall.  There are a few oxidation dark spots, but other than that, the piece is near mint.  No gouges, no dents, no dings.  Very scarce and unique piece!  near mint.  89.50

ZEPPELINS & BALLOONS

ZEPPELIN BALLOON TOY.  9.5" by 5.5".  appears to have been a "Souvenir of Chicago" type item.  backside of envelope has placed to fill in mailing address and place postage stamp.  front of envelope pictures the Zeppelin soaring over Art Deco style skyscrapers.  red, blue, white.  along the bottom are directions to inflate the balloon and attach and fold the cardboard included.  well, the cardboard is still inside, but the balloon as long ago disintegrated.  Nice display item.  The envelope is mint.  39.50

Child’s large 11" dia. TIN DRUM. c.1920.  MAGNIFICENT colors with BIPLANES and ZEPPELINS. exc+.  bright and vivid.   295.00

Early large Steelcraft ARMY SCOUT NX 107 Airplane in pressed steel.
Imagine being a kid 75 years ago, and finding this under YOUR Christmas Tree!!! 1929 vintage, American made, by Steelcraft, large pressed steel ARMY SCOUT NX 107 airplane. Approximately 22" long, 22.5" wingspan. This is complete and original. Green fuselage with orange wings and tail. I have NOT cleaned or polished it. It is in it's original state, with years of patina. With a little elbow grease, it should clean and polish up quite nicely. Or, of course, if one were of the mind to, this could be the nice starting point for a restoration project. There are no holes, no rust thru. Any rust is surface only. The wing is held onto the fuselage with 3 nuts and bolts (they do not appear to be original). We will remove the wing, to ship the airplane. There are the normal dents and dings from play wear, with the propeller a bit twisted out of shape. PLEASE NOTE the front leading edge of the wing, in the center, above the cockpit - there is a 1/4" tear - an easy repair if one is going to restore it.  $485.00

America's First Pressure-Jet Helicopter - Model 10A.  with advertising blurb on reverse side.  Large elongated size: approx. 8" by 4.25".  unused.  no flaws.  near mint plus to mint.   obtained from family that was investing in the company.  Scarce!!  NOTE: (from R.Simpson "Airlife's Helicopter and Rotorcraft", 1998) Monte Copter Inc. was established in 1953 in Seattle to design and build light helicopters. The first design was the Model 10, which was a two-seat machine with a large bubble canopy and a tailboom mounting a tailplane with large twin rudders. The two-blade rotor had control paddles similar to the Hiller system. It was driven by a 135hp Lycoming O-290 engine which generated cold airflow to the rotor tips. This piston engine was then replaced by two externally-mounted Turbomeca Palouste turbojets. The prototype, N68P, flew in 1955 and was later modified to become the Model 12, with a single tail fin.  Monte-Copter then built the three-seat Model 15 Triphibian (N69P) which flew in 1960. This was a very streamlined machine with a boat-shaped fiberglass fuselage, forward-sliding canopy, small stub wings with sponsons to house the main wheels and a small full depth rudder. It was powered by a 200hp Continental gas generator housed in the rear fuselage feeding compressed air to the rotor tip nozzles.  29.50

uniform.  1958 CANADIAN PACIFIC AIR mechanics robe.  Full Length – Size 38.  Mechanics Smock – like a lab technicians coat. Very sturdy material, well made. It has belt at waist, buttons up front with protective flap. Chest pockets and waist pockets. Makers label in neck area. On back is beautifully embroidered company logo of the Flying Goose. Heavy stitched embroidery, NOT printed on. This jacket does not appear to have ever been used. The ORIGINAL sales slip from the Canadian Pacific Air Lines, Limited company store, is included with the item. It was dated December 31, 1958 and it cost the original employee $4.62.  This has been stored away for over 40 years. There is light “age” spotting.  As it stands, I would call it excellent plus to near mint. There are no rips, no tears, nothing missing, no signs of use. Just those tiny very light brown age spots. In any case, dress up a mannequin – WHAT a great display it will make!   125.00

wings.  WESTERN AIRLINES Lapel Wings.  (at least I am THINK that’s what the "W" stands for?) This is a SMALLER SIZED item, approx. 1" across. Cast in silver with a purplish blue enamel inlaid "W". Cast into the backside "ALLEN L A". Back is a "screw post". Complete with screw on. This is a legitimate item, not some modern souvenir. No defects, mint        40.00
