AA - AMERICAN ASSOCIATION
PATERSON "PANTHERS". we are offering the 1936 programs from the PATERSON "PANTHERS" home games, played at Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson New Jersey. Beginning in 1936, the N.F.L. had an associated minor league, called the American Association, which included a varying membership of six to nine teams in the Northeast. 1n 1935, The Panthers were the Eastern Independent Champions (a fact attested to on the cover of each program. They were coached by ex-NFL star HAP MORAN. In 1930 Moran set the NFL record for the longest run from scrimmage, in 1931 he was the Giants scoring leader, and in 1933 he set the NFL record for the most yards receiving in a single game. After retiring from the NFL he played for the Paterson Panthers of the American Association, and coached the Panthers in 1936. (for more information, click here). These are all in extremely nice condition and are VERY SCARCE! You may never see another program for some of these teams!
