(click here to see an example of the final mass produced style). 2002. 8" tall cold cast resin. incredibly life-like. different than the one that actually went into mass production. This one has R. BURNS on the base; instead of just BURNS. baseball. CLEVELAND INDIAN green base with mascot head. circa 1962 vintage. Made in Japan. paper mache. 7.25" tall. holding bat in right hand. has the INDIANS decal across his chest. please note that there is no "Cleveland" decal on base. this was probably sold in SPOKANE for the Spokane Indians (Cleveland Farm team). The venders sometimes had as gold foil label stuck over the Cleveland decal - or they removed the Cleveland decal all together. Since this one was purchase from a Spokane collector - the chances are good that this is the case. colors are strong and vivid. please note that there is an expansion crack at base of neck at the rear. no big deal. displays very nicely. 139.50

Made In Japan; paper mache composition. holding bat. decal on hat and base are mint. there is chip in the chest decal. there is a microscopic hairline below his ear. colors are crisp and displays beautifully! excellent plus or nicer. 165.00
Baseball. circa 1970 MILWAUKEE BREWERS. round gold base; holding ball and glove. oddball variant. the Seattle Pilots became the Milwaukee Brewers at the beginning of the 1970 season; and there was no merchandising available. this is a PILOTS nodder that was converted. the PILOTS decal on the chest was chipped off; and a paper MILWAUKEE label was pasted over the front of the base. a label with "M" was attached to front of the hat. as crude as it may seem, I can assure you, it is legitimate. colors are strong and bright. as mint as one can be, in this situation. 189.50

Extremely rare pair of plaster-composition type nodders of George McManus' famous comic strip couple. 1920's vintage, Made in Japan - company logo is embossed into back - looks kind of like a smiling face. She stands 5" tall. Interesting, they do not have springs. There is a horizontal wire across the interior of their head which rests inside notch on top of their neck - similar to the notch of an arrow where it fits the bow string - their heads rock back and forth quite nicely.
