SEATTLE PILOTS
Baseball Team Memorabilia

Revised: Monday, November 09, 2009

Ah yes,

those ONE YEAR wonders!
They existed for ONE season, 1969.
After Spring Training in 1970, as we all know,
the bus got lost on the way home to Seattle,
and they ended up in Milwaukee,
and became the BREWERS!

QUESTION: In the history of pro baseball,
there has been only one other "one year" team.
Name them?

ANSWER: The MILWAUKEE BREWERS, 1901.
After 1 season they moved to
ST. LOUIS,
and became the BROWNS.
Strange, but true!

So, it was probably FATE that Milwaukee got the team?!?!

Game Programs
Scored Game Programs.  obtained from the estate of a local sports aficionado.  he attended the following games and meticulously scored the programs in pencil.  very neatly and well done.  he added commentary in the borders of the score page.  When one considers how low attendance was - and then considers how many people actually purchased a program, and how few of these how the knowledge, skill, and dedication to score the complete game for both teams, not for just their favorite players - but completely, and then how many survived, no less in such superb condition - then you can get a concept of the scarceness!  each one is an historical time capsule.  tight, clean, with no flaws.   I have rarely seen any that could even compare.
