THE MONSTERS OF THE BLACK LAGOON magnetic "sand" toy. 1963, Smethport specialty Co. Model #51. 14" by 10 1/2". Great cartoony Monster graphics of DOOPIE DEBBLE, ZOMBOOLA, and TARA. Tara is very similar looking to the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Each is covered from waist to top of head with clear plastic case that was originally filled with iron filings. Includes magnetic "pencil" that you could arrange the filing to adorn their faces. The filing are missing from the 2 end ones. STILL, the piece displays beautifully. The reverse side has graphics of an Haunted House and has more monster illustrations. Great item - first one I have ever encountered. 75.00
